Winter Program Registration Is Now Open!

Groups and Public Programs
Nature offers a home for everyone.
We love sharing our knowledge and expertise with students, families, scouts, and small groups! We offer a variety of programs to get your small group comfortable, curious, and engaged as they explore the outdoors!
Winter Solstice Hike

The "shortest" day of the year coincides with the darkest night of December this year. Join us for a cold, but beautiful, walk through the woods of Camp Denison and Baldpate State Forest as we listen for coyotes, call for owls, and learn about the fascinating adaptations of our local nocturnal animals. Be sure to dress warmly, pack a flashlight or headlamp, and be ready to enjoy marshmallows around the campfire at the end!
Saturday Strolls

Do you and your family have what it takes to survive out in the wilderness? Join us for a family survival program, where you will learn how to start a fire with flint and steel, how to build a warm shelter, and learn some local edible winter plants!
No matter what you’re looking for, we’d love to customize a program based on your group's needs and skill level!
